What I Believe

I believe that teaching should be more about the students than the teacher.

In the past I had a teacher that hardly even care about the students.  If they passed or failed it made no difference to them.  They did not really open themselves up to helping their students when they needed it.  whenever a student asked the teacher a question they said i taught you that look in your notes or something along the lines of figure it out yourself i'm too busy for you and wish not to be disturbed.  This obviously had no care for the students and to the teacher it was a job and they got paid for it no one said they had to do a good job and try to put in an effort to make everyone pass the classes they were teaching.

People that teach should show their students the way to a better future even if they have something that they're doing they should be able to put it down fairly easy and help the student be a question to help them understand something better.  Sometime they get a question that has something to do with the general subject but a little more advance the teacher should answer the question giving to them as best as they can.  The teacher needs to be able to put time aside from their lives and the things that they want to do to help shape the students so they can do things later in life to the best of their abilities.

Teaching is all about the students because they are the next generation.  They will become the next group of job workers but if they are not properly educated than many disasters will happen in the world.  Most of them could be prevented if The Teachers take the time to be there for the students.

Cool Tools For Education

I went and found a list of the top 100 tools and i had found one tool that we are all familiar with, Twitter.  Twitter of course be used in so many ways that it truly is a great tool as Mr. Smith said.  We can use it to learn from other teachers about things they do and it can be used to help out our future students with problems they may have on some homework.  This can also be used for more than educating reasons which makes it even greater. It is truly a good tool.

An issue in education

A current issue in education which seems to be popping up more and more is children with a learning disability.  Most children can do fine in school and learn at at decent enough rate.  However there are some children with learning disabilities that just can't keep up with all of the other students in their classes.   Another part that goes along with this is that some teachers are not entirely sure of how to deal with these students.  There are many things going on now to find out if there is a way to increase the learning capability of children with a learning disability.  I found a site  that has several different issues to talk about.

I found a video that had a little bit of information about children with a learning disability.
Learning disabilities are show up more often than ever and it is sometimes hard to do anything about, but that does not mean that we should give up on these kids entirely I believe that no child should truly be left behind.

PowerPoint Project

The powerpoint project was a great way to figure out what sorts of different things that you could do on powerpoint in education just by exploring.  You also got to see what some of the other students did which benefits you to so that you may even know more ways than what you had originally come up with.
I did my powerpoint on orders of operations and i found it to be a long tideous project for certain things. It was truly fun though. The way that I used it wass to start out with a guided practice to have them go through each individual step in the problem by what goes first then that equals what ever it is then kept repeating that. Then after that it went on to an independent practice just by having the questions and their final answers.

I did not struggle with too many things but they way that i had to transfer it was not through a flashdrive. The way I did it was to attach it in an email which took a little bit longer.

I learned a great deal about the new powerpoint some of what I learned I had forgoten from earlier uses. I remembered about certain things that you can do with the animations in their timing.  It was a good learning experience for most of us I think.

Here is my powerpoint if feel like looking.
